The James Moore Mansion was built 1902-1904 on the apex of Capitol Hill, which was owned by Mr. Moore at that time—-he was a prominent Real Estate developer at this time, and actually named it ‘Capitol Hill. It was purchased in 1982 after a fire had ravaged the mansion, leaving only the brick construction and a back stairwell.
